Verified places One reviewed record for each useful place, with categories, source evidence and a clearly described location.
Shareable filters Start with area, category, event date and text search; add richer filters only when the underlying facts are maintained.
China-friendly directions Keep the map renderer replaceable and offer Chinese addresses plus AMap or Baidu directions alongside any global map view.
Data note: draft boundaries use OpenStreetMap data retrieved through Nominatim in WGS 84 (EPSG:4326) and displayed with a Mercator projection. Bay anchors use explicit water-feature records from OpenStreetMap and GeoNames , plus a centroid derived from an official Sanya public-sea notice for Sun Bay. Google Maps was used as a live visual cross-check; all points were reviewed 2026-08-31. The public production version will need a final cartographic and China map-compliance review.
